Dindigul District in connection with Cr.No.394 of 2018, dated 21.12.2018 for the offence under Sections 147, 294(b), 323 and 324 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002 on the file of the first Respondent and to quash the same as illegal as against the Petitioners.

3.Mr.S.Velrajan, learned Counsel [Enrl.No.603/2008], who had filed vakalat on behalf of the Petitioners/Accused in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2852 of 2024 and the second Respondent in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2853 of 2024, Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the first Respondent in both cases and Mr.S.Vanchinathan, learned Counsel (Enrl.No.1867/2004], who had filed vakalat on behalf of the Petitioners/Accused in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2853 of 2024 and the second Respondent in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2852 of 2024 are present in Court. 4.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners in both cases submitted that the Petitioners in both cases are arraigned as Accused in the respective cases in C.C.No.151 of 2021 and C.C.No.

868 of 2023 pending on the file of the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate Court, Vedasandur, Dindigul District. The learned Counsels also submitted that it is a case and counter. Subsequent to the filing of charge sheets, they have decided to give a quietus to the animosity between them, which resulted in registration of cases against each other. Therefore, they have arrived at an amicable settlement. They had also filed joint compromise memos reporting settlement.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions from the first Respondent submitted that both parties had preferred a statement before the first Respondent that they wanted to give a quietus to the criminal cases pending against each other. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) also furnished the status report filed by the first Respondent. Recording the status report filed by the first Respondent as well as the joint compromise memos filed by the parties concerned, these Criminal Original Petitions are allowed and the case in C.C.No.151 of 2021 and C.C.No.868 of 2023 pending on the file of the learned District Munsif-cumJudicial Magistrate Court, Vedasandur, Dindigul District, are quashed.
