ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by T. S. SIVAGNANAM, J.) The writ petitioner, by way of this Public Interest Litigation, seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to take appropriate action against the erring officials in implementation of government sponsored housing scheme at Ponumalpatty Village Panchayat, Thirunelveli District within a time frame.

W.P.(MD)No.4474 of 2021 2.Pursuant to the order of this Court dated 04.03.2021, we are informed by the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 that the second respondent has already initiated action and notice has been issued to all the allottees on 09.04.2020 and enquiry will be conducted and requests that a reasonable time may be granted on account of the prevailing pandemic situation in the State.

3.Considering the fact that the second respondent has already initiated action, we direct the second respondent to earnestly proceed with the matter and conduct an appropriate enquiry and then conclude the proceedings and pass final orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 4.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
