O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the impugned charge memo in Na.Ka.Q1/13983/2017-2, dated 06.02.2020 on the file of the third respondent and quash the same as illegal.

2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 1/3

The case of the petitioner is that on 30.09.1981, the petitioner was recruited through Employment Exchange to the post of Junior Assistant and lastly, he was given promotion to the post of Assistant Director in the year 2010. From 26.09.2016 to 01.11.2019, he was posted as Assistant Director (Panchayats) and Assistant Project Officer in Sivagangai District Collectorate. In these circumstance, at the verge of the petitioner's retirement, the third respondent has issued a charge memo, dated 06.02.2020 alleging that he failed to monitor the fraud made in certain village panchayats in Sivagangai Panchayat Union. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

5.Though the petitioner has sought for larger relief, he submitted that it would be suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to complete the disciplinary proceedings, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

6.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 7.Considering the above submission and without adverting to the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 8.With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
