PRAYER :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2026 and provide police protection for cultivate the paddy in petitioner land in survey no. 663/1E (Patt No.6084) which is situated at Thenmalai Revenue Village part-1, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District within a stipulated time. ORDER
The present Writ Petition Criminal has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2026 and to provide police protection to enable the petitioner to cultivate paddy in his land comprised in Survey No.663/1E (Patta No.6084), situated at Thenmalai Revenue Village, Part-I, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District. 2/5
2. It is admitted by the petitioner that he claims ownership of the said property, whereas the fourth respondent claims rights based on an oral sale agreement. Since the dispute pertains to title and possession of immovable property, this Court suo motu impleads the Tahsildar, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District, as the fifth respondent.
3. The said Tahsildar is directed to conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to the petitioner and the fourth respondent and thereafter pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Criminal Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 18.02.2026 (SSYJ) pal 3/5
