ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the impugned FIR.

2.The petitioner's counsel reiterated the contentions set out in the memorandum of grounds. His core argument is that since the petitioner had taken up a public cause and also filed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3959 of 2020 writ petition by way of Public Interest Litigation, the impugned FIR has been given as a counter blast. According to him, the prosecution is attended by malafides.

3.Even though the said contentions is quite attractive, I am afraid that it is too premature to go into the said contentions. It is for the investigation to unearth the truth. Therefore, leaving open the petitioner's contentions, this criminal original petition is dismissed. Taking note of the apprehensions expressed by the petitioner's counsel, the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police is directed to monitor the investigation. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
