The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant patta for the petitioner's properties situated in Kanganarenthal Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk,

2. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The petitioner has made a representation on 17.12.2024 and claims right under the Will executed by Seethalakshmi in her favour. According to the petitioner, the said Seethalakhsmi, the testatrix died on 2/5

26.06.2009 and her Will, dated 02.05.2009, has come into effect. Based on the said Will the petitioner has sought for patta being issued in the name of petitioner.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the second respondent is enquiring into the matter and in fact, has posted the application of the petitioner for hearing on 27.02.2025.

6. Recording the said submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's application within a period of twelve weeks from 27.02.2025.
