This petition has been filed to direct therespondents to provide police protection for conducting Adal Padal program on 15.01.2018 night at Sri Arulmigu Mandhai Karuppan Swami, located at Thamarakki North, Thamarakki Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting the programs such as 'Adal Padal'' , likewise, on 15.01.2018, also they decided to celebrate the festival at the above said temple and for that, they have already given a representation dated 03.01.2018 to the first respondent and no order has been passed till now.

4.The second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 03.01.2018 and dispose of the same on or before 12.01.2018.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
