O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to collect the building tax for the 9 buildings with D.Nos. 113D, 113B, 113G, 113/H, 113/I, 113/J, 113/K, 113/L and 113/M, in ward No.4, block No.32B, in T.S.No.4134/2 part, with assessment numbers 9000850, 9000851, 9000852, 9000853, 9000854, 900024, 900025, 900026 in Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would 2/6

submit that the petitioner has already sent representations dated 20.06.2025 and 09.07.2025, seeking to collect the building tax in respect of D.Nos.113D, 113B, 113G, 113/H, 113/I, 113/J,113/K, 113/L and 113/M, in ward No.4, block No.32B, in T.S.No.4134/2 part, with assessment numbers 9000850, 9000851, 9000852, 9000853, 9000854, 900024, 900025, 900026 in Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation. Since the same were not considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representations of the petitioner dated 20.06.2025 and 09.07.2025 would be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representations of the petitioner dated 20.06.2025 and 09.07.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 3/6

There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
