Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2019 requesting for the release of life convict prisoner the detenue, S.Kasi S/o.Chelliah, aged about 42 years, life Convict No.6603 prematurely as per the G.O.(Ms)No.64, dated 01.02.2018, who is now detained at Central Prison, Palayamkottai.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2019, requesting for premature release of the detenue namely, S.Kasi. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 27.06.2019 will be considered and orders will be passed on merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.In such view of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.3900 of 2020 27.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
