PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to consider and pass orders forthwith upon the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 04.04.2022 seeking for the issuance of patta in his name with respect to his land comprising at S.No.741/1 and 741/2 (Old S.No.83) Kadiyapatti Village, Panangudi Circle, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District admeasuring to an extent of 16 cents, by cancelling the patta illegally issued by the fifth respondent/Tahsildar in favour of some other persons. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to dispose of his representation dated 04.04.2022 seeking patta in his name.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the third respondent has already conducted the enquiry on 07.07.2023 and 23.10.2023 and suitable directions may be issued to the third respondent to expedite the enquiry. 4.Considering the above and the pendency of the petitioner's request for issuance of patta right from 04.04.2022, the third respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry and pass final orders on the petitioner's application dated 04.04.2022, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
