This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to give necessary police protection and permit the petitioner to conduct "Adalum Padalum" cultural programme during Arulmigu Sree Thangammankovil festival Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District on 05.04.2018 and consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.It seen from the records that the programme is scheduled to be held on 05.04.2018. The respondent herein already passed an order by rejecting the petitioner's representation. The said order has not been challenged, however, it is open to the petitioner to approach the respondent herein by way of a fresh representation and thereafter, if any such representation is received, the respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and others, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. 4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
