ORDER

The petitioner seeks limited relief of a direction to dispose of the pending appeal, dated 22.07.2024, on the file of the second respondent.

2. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The petitioner merely seeks disposal of his pending appeal with the second respondent. The petitioner's appeal is in respect of inclusion of his sons name in the patta instead of the petitioner. 2/5

5. Considering that limited scope of enquiry that may be warranted in the appeal petition, it would suffice to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 22.07.2024 within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the above terms, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
