O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's online application in Application No. 2025/0103/15/53128 dated 11.12.2025, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the third to fifth respondents, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against them.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the property in Survey No. 198/5, measuring an extent of 40.50 ares, situated at Kiliyoor Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, was brought in an auction sale by four persons and the patta was also issued in their names on the basis of the sale certificate. Out of the four auction purchasers, three Page No. 2 of 5

purchasers jointly executed a Settlement Deed dated 31.07.2025 in favour of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner claims to be the absolute owner of the property and submitted an online application seeking transfer of patta in his name. However, the said application has not been considered by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's online application dated 11.12.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the first and second respondents within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 11.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first and second respondents are also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the Page No. 3 of 5

petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the competent Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
