With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Without going into the merits and demerits of the proposal for exchange offered by the writ petitioner, considering that the petitioner seeks only issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pass orders on his representation dated 02.01.2025, after hearing the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, following order is passed:- (i) The fourth respondent, the District Collector, Pudukkottai District shall pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2025 after getting necessary inputs from the seventh respondent, the Assistant Director, Department of Animal Husbandary, Pudukkottai. (ii) The said exercise shall be carried out within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (iii) It is also made clear that the first and foremost, the value of the land, which is subject matter of the proposed exchange shall be taken into account and accordingly, the authority concerned shall pass suitable orders depending on the prevailing rules.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
