Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ respondents.

3.The petitioner is working as Assistant in the Taluk Office, Peravoorani. He seeks promotion to the post of Deputy Tahsildar. The petitioner belongs to the Scheduled Caste Community. His grievance is that his name ought to be included in the promotion panel. In this regard, he has given a representation dated 27.11.2017 to the first respondent herein.

4The first respondent is directed to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 30.04.2018. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. It is open to the first respondent to pass orders one way or other.
