ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's company, its employees, Petitioner's Company vehicles, Petitioner's company premises and Petitioner's company machineries based on the complaint preferred by the petitioner, dated 27.01.2015, 28.01.2015 and 06.02.2015.

2. The petitioner, who is a manufacturer of soft drinks complaining of grave difficulties caused to their manufacturing activities, seeks a direction as stated above.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) for the State.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner company is not utilising the borewells in the premises for which police protection is sought, towards drawing water for their manufacturing purpose and the petitioner company is purchasing water from elsewhere in keeping with Rules extant, for their manufacturing purposes. The learned counsel undertakes on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner company will continue not to draw water from the borewells in the petition premises, they having sought remedies in Writ proceedings. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) submits that given the undertaking on behalf of the petitioner company, the State has no objection to affording police protection for the purpose of enabling the petitioner company to carry on their manufacturing activities.

6. In the circumstances, there shall be a direction to the respondents to afford police protection to the petitioner company, at their cost, for the following purposes:

(i) to ensure due transport of water obtained by the petitioner company from sources other than the borewells situated in the petition premises;

(ii) to enable the transit of their Company vehicles with materials as also finished products; and (iii) to prevent any hindrance to the ingress and egress from the petition premises by managerial staff/workers of the petitioner. 7.The petition is ordered accordingly.
