Mr.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.P.Shanmugaraja Sethupathi, learned counsel, takes notice on behalf of the second and third respondents.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner is employed in the second respondent/ Bank. He seeks promotion to the post of Assistant General Manager, as per the seniority list dated 01.04.2016. In this regard, he has given a representation dated 01.11.2017. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

4.It is open to the authority to pass orders one way or the other. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.11.2017 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
