PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.131 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 09.02.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 394 r/w 397 of IPC, in Crime No.131 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 08.02.2022, the petitioner and other accused waylaid the de-facto complainant and extorted Rs.2,000/- from the de-facto complainant's pocket. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

CRL OP(MD). No.3944 of 2022 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged and also the fact that the petitioner is having two previous cases for similar offence as stated by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this point of time. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
