ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2026 and subsequent representation dated 13.01.2026 and to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner seeks police protection to his life and limb, since the private respondents herein are causing threats to his life and avocation and hence, this petition came to be filed seeking police protection.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that, the dispute is between the petitioner and one Auto Rickshaw Thozhilaalar Sangam. Based on the petitioner's representation, an FIR in Crime No.53 of 2026 has been registered as against a few members of the said Sangam. Since the petitioner is expelled from the said Sangam, he is not allowed to use the Sangam's name. He further submitted that after 2/4

registration of the FIR, the problem was solved and the members of the said Sangam are not hindering the petitioner in continuing his avocation.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police, this Court directs the third respondent police to afford necessary police protection on payment of the necessary charges in terms of GO.Ms.No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.
