ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Kuzhithurai, to dispose the C.C.No.107 of 2018.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an accused No.2 facing trial in C.C.No.107 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 323, 324 and 506(ii) of IPC. Though the case of the year 2016, the respondent police has not produced any evidence and the case has been continuously adjourned for the past four years. Hence, a direction may be issued to the trial Court to complete the trial within a stipulated time. 3.At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent Police would submit that totally there are seven witnesses in this case. He would further submit that now the case stands posted on 20.03.2020 for examination of L.W.1 to L.W.7.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3595 of 2020 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued to the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Kuzhithurai to dispose the case in C.C.No.107 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from 20.03.2020.
