ORDER

With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioners seek for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to make necessary corrections in Patta No.82, which according to the petitioner has been mutated in the name of one Chandramohan erroneously.

4. I find that the said Chandramohan is not arrayed as a party in the present writ petition. The application filed by the petitioner is in the nature of an application before the Revenue Divisional Officer 2/5

seeking for corrections of entries. In the event of any order passed by the second respondent, the same is appealable to the first respondent.

5. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 10.07.2024, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as Mr. Chandramohan, in whose name patta has been muted, which according to the petitioner is erroneous. The second respondent shall conduct an enquiry and pass orders on the merits of the application of the petitioner in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
