Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus, calling for the entire records connected with the detention order of the second respondent in No.19/BCDFGISSSV/2021, dated 23.02.2021 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Vinuchakkaravarthi @ Sakkarai @ Bonda, son of Balu, aged about 23 years, now detained as "Goonda" at Madurai Central Prison, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith. [Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the detenu, namely, Vinuchakkaravarthi @ Sakkarai @ Bonda, son of Balu, aged about 23 years, challenging the detention order in No.19/BCDFGISSSV/2021, dated 23.02.2021, passed by the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.337 of 2021 respondent, branding him as "Goonda" as contemplated under Section 2 (f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.1817, Home, Prohibition & Excise (IX) Department, dated 19.04.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.

3. Recording the above submission, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
