PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the notification No.1 of 2018 dated 14.02.2018 on the file of the respondent no.2 and quash the same as illegal to the extent of not providing permission for the final year students of U.G. Degree Course (B.E.(EEE) and consequently for a directing the respondent no.2 to allowing him to participate the selection process and select him as Assistant Engineer(Electrical). For Petitioner :

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner is a final year Engineering College student. He wants to take part in the selection process for the post of Assistant Engineering (Electrical) for which recruitment is being held by the respondents.

4.It is admitted by the petitioner himself that as on date i.e.,14.02.2018, the petitioner is not possessing such eligibility qualification. Therefore, he cannot take part in the selection process. It is for the employer to prescribe the standards of eligibility and qualification. Therefore, the petitioner cannot insist that the employer must provide permission to him even though he is studying only in the final year of U.G. Course to participate in the selection process. The Writ Petitioner has not made out the existence of any legal right in him. There is no merit in the Writ Petition.
