O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to give permission and sufficient police protection to conduct Jallikattu to be held on 04/03/2018 at Kalkudi Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 08/01/2018 and 20/02/2018. 2.Heard, Mr.S.Sekar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Bhagavathi, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner and his Village members have decided to conduct Jallikattu on 04/03/2018 at Kalkudi Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District. Hence, the petitioner gave representations to the respondents, seeking permission and provide police protection, but, sofar, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has submitted that permission has already been granted to some other party for conducting "Jallikattu" on 04.03.2018 at Kalkudi Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District and hence the petitioner may be directed to give fresh representation fixing fresh date and if any such representation is given, that will be considered by the respondents and pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the first and second respondents fixing fresh date. On receipt of such representation, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law at early. 6.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
