O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct 'Music Concert' on 16.01.2018 from 7.00 onwards during the Pongal Festival at Kannanallur Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

2.Heard Mr.D.Venkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Bhagawathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the Kannanallur Village. The villagers are celebrating the Pongal Festival every year and this year, they have decided to conduct the said festival and during the above said festival, they have decided to conduct "Music Concert" on 16.01.2018. Hence, he seeks permission to conduct the said programme and give police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/ Inspector of Police, Valliyoor Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and and pass appropriate orders on or before 12.01.2018.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
