Mr.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3.Heard Mr.R.S.Vijayaprasad, learned counsel, takes notice on behalf the petitioner and Mr.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.The petitioner is the owner of LMV Share Autorikshaws. He wants grant of 5+1 Share Autorikshaw permit. In this regard, he approached the respondent. The respondent declined to receive his application. Therefore, this Writ Petition has been filed. 5.This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. It is open to the respondent to pass orders one way or the other. The only relief that is given in this Writ Petition is for reception of the petitioner's application and for direction to the respondent to pass orders thereon.

6.Therefore, the respondent is directed to receive the petitioner application and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
