The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct respondents 1 to 3 to provide compassionate appointment in view of the death of the father of the writ petitioner late P.Arumugam, who was working as a Fitter and died while he was in service on 04.05.2021.
2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-TANGEDCO made a submission that there is a dispute between the legal heirs of the deceased employee for submitting an application for compassionate appointment. Initially, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.3712 of 2022 petitioner filed an affidavit of no objection and subsequently, withdrew the same.
3. This being the factum, the petitioner has to resolve the family disputes between the legal heirs and thereafter, eligible legal heir may submit an application seeking compassionate appointment to the respondents and in such an event, the respondents have to strictly scrutinise the application in terms of compassionate appointment scheme.
4. The learned Standing Counsel further states that the 4th respondent is gainfully employed in a private company at Chennai.
5. All these factors are to be taken note of while scrutinising the application, if any, filed after resolving the disputes between the legal heirs. With this observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
