Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first repsondent to consider for regularizing the petitioners in their respective posts, in which they are presently working in the Women and Gents Hostels of the first respondent, Thoothukudi Government Medical College, Thoothukudi.

ORDER
Seeking a direction to the first respondent to regularise the petitioners in their respective posts, the present writ petition has been filed.
2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing on either side. 3.The case of the petitioners is that they were directly appointed by the fifth respondent College as Sweepers in 2002. From the date of their appointment, their services were not regularised. Hence, they made representations on 18.11.2017 and 12.12.2017. Since the same were not considered so far, they have come up with the present writ petition.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the grievance of the petitioners would be addressed on merits.
5.Under such facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations, dated 18.11.2017 and 12.12.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of the first respondent's letter, dated 22.12.2000, sent to the fourth respondent and G.O.Ms.No.252, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 19.09.2001, and pass appropriate orders, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
