By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 05.03.2021 to 07.03.2021 at Mela Murukur, Vengur, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District.
3. Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2021 was rejected by the second respondent citing the present Covid-19 pandemic situation. However, he would submit that since certain relaxations are made by the Government in the subsequent Government Orders, they are ready to consider the fresh representation, if submitted by the petitioner.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner, if so advised, can file a fresh petition before the District Collector, Trichy District and on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P(MD). No.4503 of 2021 receipt of the same, the District Collector is at liberty to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner.
5. With the above observation, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
