O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to provide adequate protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on 18.03.2025 for offering prayers in the Kannudaiyanayagi Amman Temple situated in Nattarasan Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District based on the petitioner representation dated 04.02.2025. 2.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3.According to the petitioner, he is the one of the devotee to the temple Kannudaiyanayagi Ammal Temple and the 4th respondent is trying to excommunicate the petitioner from the said temple. In this regard, he had sent a 2/5

representation to the respondents on 04.02.2025 and the same was not considered by the respondents. Hence, this petition has been filed. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 would submit that they had already received the representation of the petitioner and recommended the first respondent to conduct a peace committee meeting in this regard.

5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that they have no records for the receipt of representation of the petitioner, dated 04.02.2025. However, they will consider the representation of the petitioner, if a copy of the same is served to them. 6.Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner has also served the copy of the representation, dated 04.02.2025 to the first respondent for consideration. 7.In view of the aforesaid undertaking given by the first respondent, this Court hereby direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.02.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in 3/5

accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of this order. 8.With the aforesaid directions and observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
