ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 18.01.2023.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by this petitioner, a case in Crime No.1087 of 2022 was registered against two persons, namely, Chandrabose, who is the fourth respondent herein, and Madavan and that the fifth respondent is the wife of the fourth respondent. He would further submit that investigation is still pending and during the pendency of the investigation, the petitioner has made representation to the third respondent for police protection. 2/4
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint against the fourth respondent and one Madavan, for which, the above said accused had threatened the petitioner to withdraw the case.
4. Considering the above, let the third respondent issue summons to the respondents 4 and 5 to find out whether there was any threat made to the life of the petitioner and depending upon the enquiry, further orders may be passed by the third respondent.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
