ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner joined the Police Department as Grade-II Police Constable on 02.01.1964. He was promoted to the post of Head Constable on 02.01.1996. He suffered a punishment and was compulsory retired on 14.11.1998. The petitioner has given a Mercy Petition on 13.05.2010. He wants the said petition to be disposed of.

3.This Court is unable to entertain the Writ Petition for the simple reason that it is hit by laches. The petitioner admittedly retired from service as early as in the year 1999. The Mercy Petition was filed in the year May 2010. This Writ Petition was filed in the year February 2018. The petitioner is merely trying to revive stale matters. Therefore, this Court is not able to grant any relief to the petitioner.
