O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai, to dispose the case in C.C.No.21 of 2022.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.21 of 2022, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai. The petitioner is not in a position to appear before the trial Court as he is working in Fire Service Department, he is not able to get leave for appearing before the trial Court and filed a petition for speedy disposal.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that there are eight witnesses on the side of the prosecution and summons has already been issued to the LW1.

5.Therefore, the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event if the petitioner is not in a position to get a leave, it is always open to the petitioner to file a petition under Section 317 Cr.P.C to condone his absence. The petitioner is at liberty to file a petition under Section 205 Cr.P.C. 6.With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
