PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to issue a direction to the 1st respondent to provide with proper police protection to the petitioner's brother's property, on the basis of the complaint dated 22.02.2014. .

This direction petition is filed to issue a direction to the 1st respondent to provide with proper police protection to the petitioner's brother's property, on the basis of the complaint dated 22.02.2014.

2.The petitioner seeks police protection to his life and limb through a representation dated 22.02.2014. Now, 4-1/2 years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now.

3.In view of the same, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
