O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the sale deed presented by the petitioner in TP/248261603/2026, dated 03.02.2026, within a period to be stipulated by this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the property in Survey No.136/16A, measuring to an extent of 0.15.00 hectare, situated at Keeramangalam North Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, originally belonged to the petitioner's father. Separate Patta No.3643 in respect of the said property stands in his name. Thereafter, the petitioner's father executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner by way of a registered settlement deed vide Document No.173/2006 dated 30.01.2006. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner has been in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property. Subsequently, the petitioner decided to sell the property to one Sivanantham for valuable consideration and accordingly, presented the sale deed for registration on 03.02.2026. However, the respondent refused to register the same on the ground that a protest petition had been submitted by an unknown person. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that if the sale deed is presented for registration, after issuing due notice to the objector, necessary orders would be passed in accordance with law.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, the petitioner is directed to present the sale deed dated 03.02.2026 before the respondent. Upon such presentation, the respondent is directed to register the same. In the event any objection is received, the respondent shall issue due notice to the objector and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
