O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to cancel Patta No.1863 in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.153/1G1A2, situated at Kallangudi Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District and consequently issue patta in favour of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the fourth respondent, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against him.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the properties comprised in Survey Nos.153/1G and 153/1F. However, the Page No. 2 of 5

fourth respondent, on 30.06.2025, allegedly created certain documents and unlawfully effected a subdivision of the petitioner's property as Survey No.153/1G1A and obtained Patta No.1863 in his name. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 28.11.2025 seeking cancellation of the said patta and issuance of patta in his favour. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs.
