Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.N.SYED ALI, Advocate for the petitioner in both the petitions and of MR.C.RAMESH, Additional Public Prosecutor, on behalf of the Respondent in both the petitions the court made the following order:- These Petitions are filed to extend the time stipulated in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.10850 & 10851 of 2017, dated 29.08.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already been granted anticipatory bail by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.10850 & 10851 of 2017, with a direction to appear before the concerned Magistrate, within a period of 15 days. He further submits that the petitioner could not arrange for sureties in time. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present applications seeking for extension of time to appear before the concerned Magistrate. The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- each to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench. 3.Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
4.Considering the undertaking given by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also considering the fact that the failure on the part of the petitioner to appear before the Magistrate concerned within a period of 15 days was not intentional, this Court feels the time for appearance could be extended on condition that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- each, (totalling Rs.2,000/- (rupees two thousand only)) to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench. Accordingly, the time for appearance of the petitioner before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vedachandur, Dindigul District as per the order passed in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.10850 & 10851 of 2017, dated 29.08.2017, is extended by further period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of this order copy. sd/- 28/09/2017 / TRUE COPY / Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
