O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondent to dispose of the complaint of the petitioner in Ref. No.ONLCHN-G-023-2425-00221, within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is an agricultural coolie, and his son, Shanmugaraj, tragically passed away on 11.05.2024 due to a motor accident. The petitioner's grievance is that he filed a complaint with the first respondent, stating that his deceased son's vehicle was insured with the second respondent and that his son had a personal accident cover of Rs. 15 lakhs. However, since the said complaint has not been considered, the petitioner has now filed the present writ petition. .

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the complaint of the petitioner within a specified time frame.

Considering the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, without delving into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the complaint on its own merits and in accordance with law and dispose of the same, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. There shall be no order as to costs. 17.02.2025 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No PKN 3/5
