Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of his passport. It appears that the petitioner had earlier obtained passport and the same had been lost. The petitioner also seeks correction of his date of birth. In this regard, the petitioner had given an application on 20.07.2021.

3. The second respondent is directed to consider the petition mentioned application and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The third respondent is directed to forward the verification report to the second respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of on these terms. No costs.
