PRAYER :- To enlarge the petitioner/A1 on bail in Spl.C.C.No.82/2019 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for POCSO Act Cases, Tirunelveli.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Today, this case is listed under the caption for "Extension of Time for Lower Court".

2. It is evident from the records that this Court, vide order dated 01.03.2022, has directed the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for trial of cases under POCSO Act, Tirunelveli, to complete the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

3. The learned Sessions Judge has submitted a requisition dated 07.07.2022 stating that prosecution side evidence was already closed, that the accused was questioned under Section 313(1)(b) of Cr.P.C. and that the case stands posted for defence side evidence and hence seeks 15 days further time to dispose of the case. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

4. Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to extend the time sought for. Accordingly, fifteen (15) days time is granted and the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for trial of cases under POCSO Act, Tirunelveli, is directed to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.82 of 2019 within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
