O R D E R

The Petitioner seeks to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.2 of 2015, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal.

2. The complaint of the respondent informs of repeated false complaints preferred by Accused Nos.1 and 2 before police authorities, of his having filed a civil action towards a decree for permanent injunction against accused 1 and 2 from harassing him, of further false complaint by the second accused and of most damaging allegations having been levelled against him in the programme viz., 'Kopium', run by 'Raj TV', about him, his mother and father and re-telecasted thereof in the 'Raj News' channel. It informs of the respondent and his family members having suffered huge loss of reputation owing thereto. The complaint has been taken cognizance in C.C.No.2 of 2015 on the file of learned Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal under Section 499 r/w.500 of IPC.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners referred to the typed set towards informing that whatsoever was telecast was the truth, that the respondent had misconducted himself and a complaint has been preferred also before the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu. It is further submitted that the first petitioner has not appeared in the programme that was telecast. and person who have taken part in the telecast as also those responsible for telecast thereof have been arrayed as accused.

4. Since it is the matter for the trial Court concerned, this petition shall stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
