Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to provide necessary police protection in the event of cultivating the land and to cut the trees in the petitioner's Survey Nos.128 and 129 in S.Pudupatti, Sukkampatti Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District as per the proceedings in Mu.Mu.No.3877/2015/A1 dated 28.11.2016 of the 4th respondent.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to provide necessary police protection in the event of cultivating the land and to cut the trees in the petitioner's Survey Nos.128 and 129 in S.Pudupatti, Sukkampatti Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District as per the proceedings in Mu.Mu.No.3877/2015/A1 dated 28.11.2016 of the 4th respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents.
3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner made a representation to the third respondent on 20.02.2018 seeking adequate police protection for cutting the tress standing in the petitioner's land. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents would submit that the representation made by the petitioner has been considered and necessary police protection was given to the petitioner on 14.06.2018.
5.In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, since the necessary police protection has been given by the respondent police, the prayer sought for by the petitioner becomes infructuous. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
