This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner dated 14.02.2018 at the earliest.
.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed an appeal before the second respondent against the decision taken in the peace committee meeting and the same is still pending before the second respondent from 14.02.2018 and hence he requested to direct the second respondent to dispose of the same at the earliest.
.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that no appeal will lie against the decision taken by the peace committee meeting and therefore, the appeal is not at all maintainable. 4.The learned counsel for the respondents 5 to 8 also adopted the arguments of the learned Government Advocate. 5.The petitioner has asked only for a limited relief to direct the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 14.02.2018. Whether the appeal is maintainable or not has to be decided by the second respondent. This Court cannot express any view on the maintainability of the appeal.
.Therefore, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal dated 14.02.2018 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
