ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 herein to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner as per the complaint of the petitioner dated 26.12.2025.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen lady, who is seeking the protection from the second respondent police as against the private respondents herein, who are disturbing the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property comprised in S.No. 1582/2B, measuring to an extent of 26 cents situated in Thamaraikulam Village Bit-II, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner has not cooperated with the enquiry and that the dispute is among family members, and the property has already been partitioned. As per the allegation of the petitioner, one of the boundary stones was removed by the rival party. Based on the undertaking given by the other parties that they would work out their remedy before appropriate civil forum, the enquiry has been closed.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with.

5. Only due to the non-cooperation of the petitioner, the respondent police are unable to address the grievance of the petitioner. However, it is submitted that the private respondents have appeared before the respondent police and have given an undertaking to resolve their dispute by working out their remedy before the appropriate Civil Court. In this regard, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent police, if necessary in future, and seek appropriate remedy.

6. With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
