ORDER

Mr.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

2.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3.The petitioner seeks promotion to the post of Assistant from the date on which his junior was given promotion. In this regard, proposal was forwarded to the second respondent on 26.12.2017. The first respondent is yet to pass orders. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

4.The first respondent is directed to dispose of the said proposal dated 26.12.2017 and pass final orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
