2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 4 and 5 to release the petitioner TATA HITACH in Ex 70- HYROLICE EXCAVATOR (Machine Serial NO.0703-8623) by considering petitioner's representation on 06/01/2020 in accordance with law.

4. The case of the petitioner is that, the petitioner's TATA HITACHI Ex 70- HYROLICE EXCAVATOR (Machine Serial NO.0703-8623) was seized by the 4th and 5th respondents on 04.01.2014 and handed over the same to Sinnamanoor, Forest range office. The petitioner made a representation dated 06.01.2020 to the respondents to release the Hitachi vehicle used for cutting trees. Till date, the respondents have not considered the representation of the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present writ petition.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the 4th and 5th respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.01.2020 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
