ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 506(ii) I.P.C. in Crime No. 1 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side).

3. Initially, a case in Cr.No.1 of 2014 was registered by the respondent police for offences under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 506(ii) I.P.C. Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police, the petitioner has filed the anticipatory bail application.

4. Today, the respondent police is present. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions from the police, would submit that the case has been transferred from the file of the respondent police to the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, T.Nagar, Chennai.

5. In these circumstances, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Principal Bench of Madras High Court or the District Court, as the case may be and file a fresh application.

6. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
