PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to disburse the bonus increment payable to the petitioner from 11.09.2003 as per the proceedings of the second respondent R.C.No.900/A/2017 dated 08.11.2017 on the basis of G.O.(Ms)No.562 dated 28.10.1998. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner is 72 years old, retired employee of the Fisheries Department. The Government of Tamil Nadu issued G.O. (Ms).No.562, dated 28.10.1998, directing to grant one bonus increment as an incentive for those employees who have stagnated in a post beyond thirty years i.e., the employees stagnating in the Special Grade beyond ten years. The petitioner has enclosed the proceedings dated 08.11.2017, at page 28 of the typed set of papers, issued by the second respondent herein in his favour. But, till date, the bonus increment payable to to the petitioner from 11.09.2003, has not been disbursed.
4.Therefore, the fourth respondent is directed to verify the genuineness of the proceedings dated 08.11.2017 issued by the second respondent. If it is found to be true, the benefits shall be disbursed to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition stands allowed accordingly.
