For Petitioner : Mr.D.S.Haroon Rasheed (in both petitions) COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Fast Track Court No.II, (Magistrate Level), Madurai to complete the trial in S.T.C.Nos.3 and 4 of 2018, respectively and pronounce the judgment within the time frame as fixed by this Court.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is a complainant in S.T.C.No.3 and 4 of 2018, pending trial on the file of the Fast Track Court, (Magistrate Level), Madurai, for the offences under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. He would further submit that the case is of the year 2018, the complainant has closed her evidence and also filed her written arguments as early as on 28.01.2019.
However, the respondents/accused are unnecessarily dragging on the proceedings in the guise of producing the witnesses on the side of the defence and the case has been adjourned for more than one year and thereby, he would seek for a direction to the learned Magistrate to complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3.In view of the same, the Fast Track Court, (Magistrate Level), Madurai, is directed to complete the trial in S.T.C.Nos.3 and 4 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.These Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of accordingly.
