Mandamus seeking direction to the third respondent to grant 20 days emergency leave to the sons of the Petitioner, who are life convicts and confined in Central Prison, Madurai, is before this Court for consideration.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.The representation of the Petitioner, dated 3.2.2025 is sought to be considered in this Writ Petition. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the Superintendent of Prison, 2/5
Madurai has duly considered the representation of the Petitioner, dated 3.2.2025 and rejected the same for the reasons stated in it. 4.A perusal of the rejection order indicates that the joint request for two life convicts and request for leave before compliance of three years of imprisonment been said as reasons. Whether these reasons are sustainable to be decided, if it is challenged. Hence the Writ Petition is disposed of recording the fact that the representation of the Petitioner been duly considered and rejected.
